Except for your furnace that heats the house and
an air conditioner to cool it in summertime, the largest
energy consumer in most homes is the water heater.
A regular water heater will keep your tap water hot
for 24 hour a day at 60 C, which is even to hot to
take a shower or fill a bathtub, this is a tremendous
waste of energy that you have paid for and cools down
in the time when you’re not home or asleep.
A tankless water heater can produce up to about 7
gallons per minute of shower temperature water (depending
on model selection and climate) on an on-demand basis
while providing energy savings of 30 to 50% compared
to most conventional electric tank water heaters.
What is an instant water heater?
Gas;
Turn on your hot water faucet and water is heated
instantly as it flows through the heating coils.
The burners shut off automatically immediately
after you turn off the faucet. The modulating
control automatically adjusts the flame to the
water flow you select.
Tankless water heaters produce hot water only
when and as much as you need. That's why you can
save energy and money. |
|
Electric;
It's a simple device witch holds about a liter
of water, a heating element, a flow switch that
turns on the power as soon you open the tap and
a thermostatic control so you don’t get
scalding hot water out of the tap and a safety
device if everything else fails, all enclosed
in a pvc casing and easy to install.
You can save even more with an Instant water heater
in conjunction with solar panels, on a sunny day
it’s very easy to reach a temperature of
55-60°C in your solar storage tank, on cloudy
days maybe it will reach only 30°C but with
an instant water heater it takes only 9°C
to raise it to take a comfortable shower and that’s
without switching on your hot water tank. |
